A discussion group based on the book, How to Raise an Adult; offered at Highland Park United Methodist Church; six 1.5 hour sessions, $275; space limited so register soon at gutmanna@hpumc.org.

Re-Frame Coaching Group

This coaching group will engage participants in considering "what's next" in their lives. Including a personal MBTI assessment and using the book Designing Your Life, members may expect to make solid headway in creating their futures. Six 1.5 hour sessions + MBTI assessment, materials, $650. The dates and times will be arranged with registered participants but will plan to meet approximately every 2 weeks through the fall semester. Space is extremely limited so make reservations promptly by contacting kmfischer10@gmail.com for information or to register.

Sticks & Stones: Considering the Power of Our Words to Help or to Hurt

Offered at Highland Park United Methodist Church, this 4-session brown bag class will consider the most sought after topic for parenting teens: communication. Included will be setting the flow of good interactions; managing bullying and conflicts; enhancing your teen's thoughtful independence through positive conversations. Charge is $85; room 386. Countdown to Launch: Theirs and YOURS!

Offered at Highland Park United Methodist Church, this 4-session brown bag class will consider what kids need to know to be able to manage themselves by the end of high school, including: changing the dynamics of communication; setting limits; dating/sexuality. We will also give attention to parent's life-after-teens. Charge is $85; room 386. Contact gutmanna@hpumc.org for reservations by Oct 26.

Hosted by The Stepping Stones Class, room 214 at Highland Park United Methodist Church, all are welcome to join this 2-part conversation about promoting and empowering our kids toward independence and thoughtful decision-making. Beginning with a "check-listed childhood" through the list of what 18 year olds need to know how to do, you're sure to find this class helpful.
