Offered by The Lamplighter School, this presentation will serve as a basis for considering how gender impacts children from the way they select friends to how they respond to discipline to communication preferences.

Making Sense of SEX: Guiding Our Teens

Offered at Highland Park United Methodist Church, this 4-Thursday brown bag lunch class is for parents of teens and will include conversation about:

  • What’s developmentally “normal,” anyway?
  • How do issues of sexuality differ for our sons and for our daughters?
  • What are the realities of sex in our kids’ world?
  • How do we clarify our own values and thoughts about sexual topics?
  • Then, how in heaven’s name do we initiate the kind of conversations we know our kids need?
